Pivotal joint:

  1. There is a cylindrical bone at the center whose movement is restricted to 180o and thus our head can only rotate until a certain point.
  2. This movement of the head in the right and left direction is possible because of the pivotal joint. The joint is located in our neck.
  3. This joint allows back and forth movement and sideways movement.
