Let xcosθ=ycos(θ+2π3)=zcos(θ+4π3)=k ....... (1)

Dividing xy+yz+xz by xyz we get

1x+1y+1z

=1k[cosθ+cos(θ+2π3)+cos(θ+4π3)] ...... from(1)

=1k[cosθ+2cos(π+θ)cosπ3]

=1k[cosθcosθ]=0
