According to Dalton atom is a tiny particle and is indivisible. Whereas according to atomic theory of matter atoms are divisible and is having mainly atomic forces. For these forces electrons are responsible.

According to atomic theory like charges repel and opposite charges attract, whereas Daltons theory proposed atoms of same elements are like and atoms of different elements are alike.

According to atomic theory of matter, matter can be divided into solid, liquid and gases. Whereas according to Dalton, atom is a tiny particle only.
