Not all molecules having polar bonds are polar. An example is linear carbon dioxide molecule (CO2). The individual CO bonds are polar but the molecule on the whole is non polar as individual bond dipoles cancel each other. Another example is boron trifluoride (BF3) molecule with triangular planar geometry. Another example is carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) with tetrahedral geometry.
