Let us consider two even numbers 2 and 4.
So,
$2 + 4 = 6$ ,
The sum is 6 which is an even number.
Let us consider two even numbers 6 and 8.
So,
$6 + 8 = 14$
The sum is 14 which is an even number.
Hence, the sum of two even numbers is an even number.
So, the statement is true.
