The correct option is A True
Extend CD to E and join BE such that BEAD
Now, ADBE and ABDE [ABCD & CD extended to E]
Therefore ABED is a gm
AD=BE , but AD=BC , so that BC=BE, then BEC=BCE [angles opposite to equal sides are equal] (1)
ADBE , then D+BEC=180 [Interior angles on same side of traversal are supplementary]
D=180BEC(2)
& C+BEC=180 [Linear pair]
C=180BEC(3)
From (1) , (2) & (3), we get
D=C(4)
Now in ADC and BCD,
AD=BC (Given)
D=C (From (4))
CD=DC (Common)
ADCBCD [By SAS]
Hence, AC=BD [By CPCT]
