The speed of transmission of electricity is approximately equal to the speed of light. As propagation of light is nothing but propagation of electromagnetic waves which is same as transmission of electricity. But, speed of light is $3\times {10}^{8}m/s$ , not $3\times {10}^{8}km/s$ .
