Members are directly elected by the people	Members are indirectly elected by the members of the State Legislative Assemblies
The tenure of the house is five years. After five years fresh elections are held	It is a permanent body. Not all memebers' tenure ends together.

Lok Sabha is far more powerful than the Rajya Sabha. It has the sole right to introduce a money bill. After the bill is approved in the Lok Sabha that it is sent to Rajya Sabha for approval.
Secondly, in the matters of ordinary law, if there is a deadlock, there can be joint sitting and the decision taken by a majority vote. However, since Lok Sabha has a far more membership, it always wins the case.
