Solution

Disadvantage of salts in water are:

1.Unfit to drink

  • Consuming water containing salt leads to frequent urination in order to remove excess salt from the body.
  • This will make us even more thirstier than before.
  • It also make us dehydrate.
  • Thus it becomes unfit for drinking.

2.Leads to corrosion of metals

  • Corrosion occurs when metals undergo oxidation (loss of electron).
  • If the metal is exposed to water containing salt, the flow of electron become faster.
  • This leads to corrosion of metals.
