State two factors on which pressure at a point inside a liquid depends.

There are two factors that affect fluid pressure are:

  1. The first factor is the depth of the fluid: the exertion of the pressure by the fluid increases as the depth increases.
  2. The second factor is the density of the fluid: there is the exertion of more pressure by denser fluids like water in comparison to lighter fluids like air.

The pressure at a point inside a liquid is given by:
P=P0+hdg
where P is the point where pressure is exerted in the liquid
P0 is the atmospheric pressure
h is the depth of the point below the free surface
d is the density of the liquid
g is the acceleration due to gravity
