Solution

Two factors determining the rate of diffusion of a liquid into another liquid are :
(i) Temperature : Rate of diffusion is directly proportional to the temperature ,
that is ,rate of diffusion increases on increasing the temperature.
(ii) Density : The rate of diffusion is inversely proportional to the density of a
liquid , that is , if the density of a liquid is higher , then its rate of
diffusion into another liquid will be lower .
