A disease is a specific abnormal state that has a detrimental impact on the structure or function of all or part of an organism without being caused by external injury.
Diseases are medical conditions that have specific signs and symptoms.
Example of diseases are influenza, common cold, tuberculosis (TB), Hepatitis A and B, malaria, etc.
Causes: Immediate and Contributory causes are the two basic causes of disease.
Organisms that invade our bodies and create disease are the immediate cause. For instance, viruses, protozoa, bacteria, etc.
Contributory causes are the factors that cause these creatures to enter our bodies. For instance, filthy water, an unclean environment, contaminated food, and so on.
