Uses if Iodine
Tincture of iodine (iodine + alcohol+ water) is used in the healing of wounds as iodine has antiseptic properties which help in killing different microorganisms and thus increasing the rate of the wound healing process.
Iodine is used in common salt as it helps in eradicating the deficiency of iodine which leads to the formation of goiter (abnormal swelling of neck).
