State two reasons why a common emitter amplifier is preferred to a common base amplifier ?

Dear student,
1) In common base amplifier current gain < 1 whereas in common emitter amplifier there is a very high current gain.
2) Common emitters have a higher amplification factor and low power factor as compared to the common base configuration.
