Characteristics of portable water:

• Portable water should be free from harmful bacteria germs, suspended impurities, and harmful salt.
• Portable water should be clear colourless and odorless.
• Portable water should have dissolved air and salts of sodium(Na), calcium(Ca), and magnesium(Mg) which impart taste to the water and are useful for the metabolic function of the human body
