State whether the following is a polynomial or not ? Justify your answer.
$\frac{1}{5} a^{3} - \frac{4}{\sqrt{3}} a^{2} + 2 a - 7$

Solution

The equation provided above is a polynomial because the power of $a$ is $3, 2,$ and $1$ . If we have an equation which has the values in it with power only $1$ then it is not a polynomial but if any of the value has power greater than $1$ then it is referred to as the polynomial equation.
