  1. A flower generally has four whorls: calyx, corolla, androecium and gynoecium.
  2. Androecium is the male reproductive part of the flower.
  3. It consists of units which are known as stamens.
  4. There are two parts in each stamen - anther and filament.
  5. The anthers produce a powdery tiny structures called the pollen grains where the male sex cells are produced.
  6. A stigma is the top part of a carpel, the female reproductive part.. An anther is the top part of a stamen.
