Solution

The correct option is B False

The given statement is false. The adjectives ‘few’, ‘a few’ and ‘the few’ are used to denote quantity. They are used for countable plural nouns, like 'vegetables' or 'cups'. ‘A few’ means some, it has a positive meaning. On the other hand, ‘few’ means hardly any, i.e. it has a negative meaning or connotation. While ‘the few’ means not many, but all of them. The adjectives that are used for uncountable nouns like 'milk' or 'sand' are, ‘little’, ‘a little’ and ‘the little’. Similar to the adjectives used for countable pronouns, ‘a little means some, ‘little' means hardly any and ‘the little’ means not much, but all of them.
