Solution

The correct option is B False

Checking if zeroes of x2-5x are 0 and -5:

Zeroes of the polynomial:- A real number a is zero of the polynomial p(x)ifp(a)=0.

Let, p(x)=x2-5x

Step 1. Checking if 0 is a zero of x2-5x:

Putting x=0 in p(x) , we get

p(0)=(0)2-5(0)p(0)=0-0p(0)=0

So, 0 is zero of the given polynomial.

Step 2. Checking if -5 is a zero of x2-5x:

Putting x=-5 in p(x) , we get

p(-5)=(-5)2-5(-5)p(-5)=25-(-25)p(-5)=25+25p(-5)=50

So, -5 is not a zero of the given polynomial.

Hence, the given statement is false.
