Solution

The correct option is B False

A variegated leaf plant is taken for experiments to prove the necessity of chlorophyll for photosynthesis.
Variegated leaves have green parts (where cells contain chlorophyll) and non-greenish parts (where there is no chlorophyll).
Only the parts that were green become blue-black with iodine solution, showing the importance of chlorophyll in photosynthesis.
At the same time, normal green leaves can also be used for the experiment, but in such cases, the entire leaf turns blue-black with iodine solution since the chlorophyll distribution is even in such cases.
