Solution

The correct option is A True

Evaporation:

  • Evaporation is the phenomenon in which a substance changes from its liquid state to its gaseous state below the temperature at which it boils.

Separation of Water from salt:

  • Water can be separated from the salt solution by simple evaporation.
  • Water has a much lower boiling point than salt.
  • When the solution is heated, the molecules present on the surface gain sufficient energy and escape from the surface.
  • After some time all the water molecules get evaporated in this manner and salt is left.

Hence the given statement is true.
