Plants fibres are the ones obtained from plants. Silk is obtained from the cocoons of a silkworm. Therefore, it is not a plant fibre. It is an animal fibre. ​


Hence the given statement is false, and it can be corrected as below,​

Jute is a plant fibre. It is obtained from the stem of its plant.
Hence, the given statement is false. It can be corrected as,

Jute is obtained from the stem of a plant.

(c)
The process of arranging two sets of yarns together to make a fabric is called weaving.
Therefore, the given statement is true.

(d)
Burning of cotton yarn gives an odour like that of burning paper. This is because, both paper and cotton are made from plants, and they will have some cellulose content in it. Hence, the given statement is true.
