Solution

The correct option is A True
Triglycerides (Neutral fats) - Neutral fats such as butter and vegetable oils are mostly triglycerides. They provide more energy because each has three fatty acid tails linked to glycerol. Glycerol can be converted into glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate an intermediate of glycolysis and continue through the remainder of the cellular respiration breakdown pathway. Fatty acids, on the other hand, must be broken down via beta-oxidation pathway. In this fatty acids, tails are broken down into a series of two carbon units that combine with coenzyme A forming acetyl coenzyme A this acetyl CoA feeds into the citric acid cycle. Triglycerides are the most important lipids inside our body and the richest reservoir of energy. They yield more than twice as much as energy as complex carbohydrates such as starch.
So the statement is True.
