State whether the sets $R=\left\{w,x,y,z\right\}$ and $S=\left\{a,e,i,o,u\right\}$ are equivalent sets or not.

Two sets are said to be equivalent if they have same cardinal number , i.e., same number of elements in it.

Cardinal number for set $R$ (number of elements in the set) is $n\left(R\right)=4$.

Cardinal number for set $S$ (number of elements in the set) is $n\left(S\right)=5$.

Since, cardinal numbers are not same, i.e., $n\left(R\right)\ne n\left(S\right)$.

Hence, they will not be equivalent sets or they are non-equivalent sets.
