Given the statement: “Zero is the smallest rational number”.

Every integer is a rational number and also negative integers are less than 0, so, 0 is not the smallest rational number as there are negative integers which are rational numbers less than zero.

For example:-81,51, and -171 etc.
The smallest rational number is equal to the smallest integer in the form pq where ,pandq (q0) here know that the smallest integer is negative, not 0.

Hence, the given statement is “False”.
