Median = Value of $(\frac{n + 1}{2})$ th observation = Value of $(\frac{5 + 1}{2})$
= Value of 3rd observation = 6
(ii) 4, 6, 8, 8, 12, 14, 15, 16
Here, n = 8 (even)
$M e d i a n = \frac{V a l u e o f (\frac{n}{2}) t h o b s e r v a t i o n + V a l u e o f (\frac{n}{2} + 1) t h o b s e r v a t i o n}{2} = \frac{V a l u e o f 4 t h o b s e r v a t i o n + V a l u e o f 5 t h o b s e r v a t i o n}{2} = \frac{8 + 12}{2} = \frac{20}{2} = 10$
