Liquid and gaseous states are in general defined as the states which takes the shape of the container and no definite shape respectively.Both the states has weak force of attractions.Arrangement of the particles are very random in gas where as in case of liquids a bit less.Hence Liquid and Gas are less ordered in arrangement of molecules.
