State your observation for the following cases:
(i) Ammonia gas is burnt in an atmosphere of oxygen in the absence of a catalyst.
(ii) Glass rod dipped in ammonium hydroxide is brought near the mouth of the concentrated hydrochloric acid bottle.

(i) In the absence of a catalyst, ammonia burns in air with a greenish yellow flame to produce nitrogen and water.
4NH3 + 3O2 6H2O +2N2 + Heat

(ii) When a glass rod dipped in ammonium hydroxide is brought near the mouth of a concentrated hydrochloric acid bottle, white fumes of ammonium chloride are formed.
NH4OH + HCl → NH4Cl + H2O
