Statement 1 is true and statement 2 is false


The regular polygon with minimum number of sides is equilateral triangle. It has 3 lines of symmetry. Hence, it has multiline symmetry.

Also, all the regular polygons have as many lines of symmetry as they have sides. So, this means all the other regular polygons will have more than 3 lines of symmetry. So, they all have multiline symmetry.

But irregular polygons can also have multiline symmetry. Such an example is shown in the figure.

So, statement 1 is true and statement 2 is false.
