Thermosetting plastics can withstand heat. They do not deform on heating. They have higher strengths and melting points compared to thermoplastics. Melamine and Bakelite are the examples of thermosetting plastics.
Plastics are non-biodegradable materials. Materials that do not decompose through natural process are known as non-biodegradable materials. Bakelite and melamine are plastics which will take several years to decompose. Thus they are non-biodegradable materials.
