Fishes have streamlined body which allows easy movement in water. It's skeleton is covered with strong muscles. During swimming, muscles make the front part of the body curve one side while the tail swings in the opposite direction. Then both parts quickly steer opposite to their previous state. This sudden shifts creates a jerk and pushes the fish forward. Fins helps the body to maintain balance and direction of swimming.
