Rutherford's atomic model could not explain the stability of the atom. So, to overcome the drawback, Neils Bohr came up with his atomic model.

He put forward few postulates about the model of an atom:
1. Only certain special orbits known as discrete orbits of electrons, are allowed inside the atom.
2. While revolving in discrete orbits the electrons do not radiate energy.

Hence, both the statements are true.
