  1. Electric current always flows from the positive terminal of the cell to the negative terminal of the cell.
    Hence to make a battery of two cells, we need to connect positive terminal of one cell to negative terminal of another cell.
    Therfore, statement 1 is false.
  2. The base of the bulb and the metal tip of the base are the two terminals of the bulb. The metal cap represents the positive terminal whereas the metal disc represents the negative terminal.
    Therfore to glow a bulb we need to connect two terminals of battery with two terminals of bulbs as well.
    Therefore, statement 2 is correct.
