Silicon is more electropositive than carbon. Hence, the statement 2 is false. The lone pair on nitrogen in trimethyl amine can be easily donated. However, in case of trisilyl anion, the lone pair is involved in the formation of pπdπ bond. Hence, it cannot be easily donated. Due to this reason, trisilyl amine is less basic than trimethyl amine. Hence, the statement 1 is true.
