The correct option is B Both statements are true but statement-II is not the correct explanation of statement-I
Sodium bisulphite forms crystalline white products with ketones provided the ketone is not much sterically hindered.
Acetone is not much hindered so bisulphite addition product is formed
however with the other compound given, it does not form any addition product.
Hence, both statements are correct but statement-II is not correct explanation for statement-I.
