Statement I: Fossil fuels are a renewable source of energy.
Statement II: Renewable sources are collected from resources which are naturally replenished on a human timescale, such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat.
Only statement II is correct.
Renewable sources are collected from resources which are naturally replenished on a human timescale, such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat. Fossil fuels are sources of energy that have developed within the earth over millions of years. Since they can’t be replenished on a human timescale; therefore, they are not the renewable source of energy i.e. they are the non-renewable source of energy.
