Solution

The correct option is D None of the statements is correct
Evolution is a process wherein the species and life as a whole changes, adapt to the changing conditions. Evolution is a continuous process, it never stops because environment never remains constant. Although, with advancing science, the changing environment can be predicted but never with full accuracy. There are many factors involved like behaviour of species, gene pool of the species, random mutations, natural disasters, and accidents (man-made or natural) that may change the environment and wipe out a population. So, it cannot be known be full accuracy how a species will evolve in 100 years with utmost accuracy. It is a stochastic process (a process about which we cannot say with 100% accuracy or surety).
