Statement II - False
Though it may not look like as inverse square relation (because of the r3 in denominator) but it has been derived from Coulomb’s law (which is inverse square) but assumptions have been made neglecting the separation between the charges as compared to the distance of point of calculation of electric field, which makes it look so weird!
