  • Groups are denoted by Roman numbers.
  • In a long-form periodic table, elements are arranged in s, p, d and f blocks.
  • The number of valence electrons of elements shows periodicity and chemical properties show the corresponding periodicity.
  • Inert gases are placed on the extreme right side of the periodic table.
