2Mg+ O2 2 MgO2×24 32 2 (24+16)As per the stoichiometry 2×24 g of magnesium reacts with 32 g of oxygenSo 3 g of Magnesium reacts with = 3248 × 3 = 2 g of oxygen. In the given some there is no lmiting reagent present. So both Magnesium or oxygen can decide the product amount. From the above equation we can see that48 g of Magnesium gives 80 g of Magnesium oxide. 15 g of magnesium gives = 8048 × 15 = 25 g of magnesium oxide is formed.
