Translational motion:
Motion of the centre of mass of an object from one position to another.
Rotational motion:
Motion of the centre of mass of an object about an axis.
Circular motion:
Motion of the centre of mass of an object in a circular path.
In case of earth's movement around the Sun, one can observe at every instant of time all the three types of motion. In addition to this it is found to be a periodic motion.
