What is CNG and its uses?

CNG gas is natural gas. Natural gas is obtained by drilling holes into the rocks and then inserting pipelines into the same. CNG (which is mainly methane) is obtained by compressing this natural gas.
1. It is used in homes in stoves, ovens, clothes dryers, lighting fixtures and other appliances.
2.It is used in​ commercial buildings and industries.The electric power industry is one of the largest consumer of natural gas. It is also used as both a raw material and as a source of heat in a wide variety of manufacturing processes .
Natural gas is an ingredient used to make fertilizer, antifreeze, plastics, pharmaceuticals and fabrics and in manufacturing a wide range of chemicals such as ammonia, methanol, butane, ethane, propane and acetic acid. Many oil refineries use it for heating and power generation.
3.Natural gas is widely used as a vehicle fuel.It is less poluting, cost saving and efficent source of energy.
