Vegetation is the natural plant cover of an area.However,much of the natural plant cover in India has been modified by the human activities.Types of Natural vegetation in India is as under:
Tropical wet evergreen it comes in those regions where annual rainfall is high near about 200 cm.Rosewood,gurjan are some important trees of this forest.
Tropical moist semi-evergreen it constitute a type of vegetation that is transitional between evergreen and the deciduous types.These receive lesser rainfall than tropical wet evergreen.Sal is an important tree growing here.
Tropical moist deciduous forests.Here average rainfall is between 100 -200 cm .Teak and sal with their gregarious nature produce the most important pure stands in these forests.
