Question

why at centre of curvature the incident ray and reflected ray follow the same path

Open in App
Solution

This is because when a light ray passes through the centre of curvature and then falls on the mirror surface then it falls along the normal to the surface of the mirror and hence it retraces back its own path because the angle of incidence in such a case is '0' and so is the angle of reflection.
