Question

why point sized bodies are used in defining electrostatic force?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student
we considered the point size charge for electrostatic force is because that if the dimension of the charge is larger than if effects the force and the electric field applied by large charge is also applicable to same charge which is producing it , hence
to remove this confusion we considered a charge particle or test charge particle at infinite small.
