a. There are many factors that can be attributed to high poverty ratio in rural areas as compared with urban areas
b. ​ Size of the family is the cause of poverty which is generally larger in rural areas than compared to urban areas
c. Neglect of many rural ares in terms of developent, investment , also leads to high poverty rate
c. Lack of basic amenities in many rural areas like proper education, housing, health, sanitaion
e. Underdevelopment, lack of proper connctivity , transportation in rural araes
f. Further, social factors like gender prejudice, caste based inequalities are also so well entrenched in rural area, also leads to high poverty ratio in rural areas
g. Lack of job opportunities also contributes to high poverty rate.
