Question

Why the object (upward arrow) is always kept on principal axis in ray diagrams ?

Open in App
Solution

Dear student
The ray diagrams are useful to determine the location of the image formed .If we place the object with its arrow pointing upwards on the principle axis,it will simplfy to detemine the location of the object formed. The incident light moves parallel to the principle axis .If we place the object with its arrow upwards ,it will be easier to form the image.
