Solution

Step 1: To find all the students in the school

Given the number of students in first group =870

Ratio of students in two group =6:11

Sum of the terms of the ratio =6+11

=17

Step 2: Now find the total number of students using the concept of ratio

Number of students in first group =617×Total number of students in the school

Total number of students in the school =870×176

=145×17

=2465

Hence, the number of students in the school are 2,465
