Solution

The correct option is D A B C D

V III I II

The spongy aril in Nymphae is an additional layer of cells which is a spongy layer having air spaces in between. Thus it provides buoyancy to the seeds of water lily. The spongy aril facilitates the seeds to float in water by entangling air bubbles and also helps to move in other places with water currents.
Epidermis arranged in many layers in the leaves of Nerium is called multiple epidermises.
Jussiaea have roots that are floating in nature that develops from the nodes of the floating plant.
The root pockets are basically root caps but have lost their utility due to non-use. This is because the roots of the plants that hang freely in water have no resistance to soil particles. These cannot be regenerated once removed and are found in Pistia.
So, the correct option is (D).
