The correct option is B 2 and 3 only
A system of agricultural practice which utilises only naturally produced substances for pest control, weed control and fertilisers is known as organic farming. It does not involve the use of agrochemicals such as synthetic chemical pesticides and fertilisers (urea) which can cause pollution and contaminate the environment.
The agrochemicals increase the crop yield but also have a degrading effect on the environment and their increased usage leads to soil and water pollution. Organic farming, on the other hand, makes use of natural components such as compost, biofertilizers and biopesticides which are eco-friendly.
Compost is produced by natural degradation of organic wastes. Alternatively, living organisms which can increase the fertility of the soil, for example, nitrogen fixing bacteria, are used as biofertilizers.
Production of vegetables using organic farming although does not ensure increased nutritional value of vitamins and minerals in them but helps in preserving the environment.
